Lemme break it down if you're all still with itFirst time I did it, yeah I admit itI kinda hit it and quit it and left y'all hangingSinging, kinda off key with the passionAsking, can I give you back that action?Hello everyone. Basically I'm not really good in writing journals, so I have pasted a lyric from a song called
Welcome by an alternative hip-hop project
Fort Minor which was recently released this 2015. I did so because I wanted to fully express myself on my absence and why all of the sudden I have returned.
Now I have a lot of explaining to do, where have I been? what happened? Well i've been REALLY busy with real-life stuff lately, but that's not all.
I have to admit, the lack of equipment contributed to the decrease of my passion on my art. I don't really have a tablet to help me achieve the type of artistic style that I'm looking for in my pieces and the method I use is painfully time consuming. Another reason for me leaving is that because I have found that the way I do my art is obligatory. Some of you might have noticed that the way I drew things I try to imitate other artists' design. The moment I found myself trying to cut pieces of different character designs of a specific artist from his many works and put the pieces back together in hopes of creating a new design and just simply trace the lines, that killed my zeal to the craft. I realized that my art style is depending too much on someone else's that I'm just a copycat and as an artist, I have become something that is so lazy.
I intentionally took the time-off and went back to my drafts to find my identity. I wanted an art style that I can proudly say is mine. I tried mixing inspirations from Bruce Timm, Phil Bourassa and even Darwyn Cook, but at the end of the day I still want an art style that I can claim as mine. Below is my attempt to draw Henry Cavill's Superman (circa
Man Of Steel) and Ben Affleck's Batman in my own design. It still needs some work, but I'll get there.
In the coming weeks I might return with new artworks, I might not. But let it be known that
this page is not dead.
For now, I won't take any commissions, and I have been trying to find a way to issue refunds on my unfinished commissions. But for those who still hasn't recieved their commissions or their money back, lemme know if you want a refund or if you still want to continue the commission in the comment section below. Just please bear in mind that it will take some time.
I would like to thank everyone for their support and I will see you guys next time.
